The Travel Expert’s Best Travel Deals – 18th February 2025
I’ve searched the web so you don’t have to! My best travel deals from Ireland include last minute holidays, short breaks, amazing summer holidays, early booking offers, and super staycations.
This week’s best travel deals post include a last minute holiday to the Algarve, 5 Star break in Croatia for €192, sun holidays in Sani Beach, Fuerteventura, Salou and Dubai, super staycations for Easter holidays, a cruise for the October bank holiday and early booking offers for girls trips abroad!
Best Last Minute: A week in Alvor, Algarve from €259!
Alvor in the Algarve is one of my favourite destinations for a relaxing break, and with return flights from €50 in March, it is great value too!
I found flights on Saturday the 1st of March for €50 from Cork and €89 from Dublin on the 2nd of March. You can also fly from Shannon or Knock from the 30th of March. A seven night stay at the top-rated Pelican Alvor Hotel is €235 per person for seven nights, making the total cost just €285 from Cork for seven nights for or €259 from Dublin for six nights departing the 2nd of March.
Best Overnight Escape: Wexford Spa Break from €55pp!
Enjoy an overnight spa break for two in the top-rated Whitford House Hotel in Wexford for just €109! Price includes breakfast, a glass of wine each and a late check out until 1pm. If you want to extend your stay, the price for two nights is €199 for two. Offer is valid on selected dates in March and April.
Best Spring Break: 5 Star Dubrovnik Break from €190!
Is Dubrovnik on your wish list? With return flights on various dates in March and April from just €43, there has never been a better time to go!
Return flights for three nights on Sunday the 30th of March are €56 or choose eight nights for €43 on the 31st of March. Choose to stay in the pretty town of Cavtat, which is close to Dubrovnik airport and neighbouring Montenegro, for just €135 per person, or stay closer to Dubrovnik in the 5 Star Ariston Hotel for just €134 per person. Both hotels are top-rated and include breakfast for three nights.

Best Luxury Break: Sani Beach in May, €1244
If you have been following me for a while you will know how much I loved my stays in Sani Hotels, and with the feedback I have received from many of you, it is clear that you love it too. With 7km of white sandy beaches, a private yacht marina, 27 restaurants and mind-blowing facilities, its no surprise it is one of the best luxury holidays in Europe.
I found a great deal with luxury specialists Tropical Sky who includes flights, transfers and baggage in the price. A seven night stay with breakfast and evening meal included, travelling in May is €1244 per person. This includes a saving of €400pp and a further €150 off per booking if you book by 28th of February and mention The Travel Expert. Dates and durations can be changed to suit you.

Best Family Holiday: Free Child Places to Salou in July & August
Bring the kids to Salou this summer and enjoy 30% off tickets to PortAventura too! We found a great deal in the 4 Star Villa Romana Hotel, which has a kids club, entertainment program and pools with slides. The price includes breakfast and evening meal each day. This hotel has received great reviews on TripAdvisor and is in a great location close to the town centre and PortAventura theme park.

Best Family Staycation: Mayo for Easter Holidays
We stayed in Breaffy House Resort on two occasions and had wonderful family staycations. There is a large swimming pool and spa on site and if you like wine, make sure you take a tour of their cellar! I love Mayo, there is so much to see and do, check out my blog post here:

Best Summer Sun: Fuerteventura from €407!
Fuerteventura is the perfect choice for some summer sun. You rarely find temperatures above 30 degrees in August and its stunning beaches and cool breeze make it ideal for lazy beach days.
I found return flights for just €147 on the 27th of August from Cork, €187 on the 26th of August from Dublin, and €191 on the 25th of August from Shannon. A seven-night stay in the top-rated Corralejo Surfing Colors Hotel and Apartments is only €258 per person, so you can enjoy a week away for just €407 from Cork, €445 from Dublin or €448 from Shannon.

Best Long Haul: 5 Nights in Dubai from €569!
Did you know it is possible to book a bargain break in Dubai? The new service from Pegasus Airlines via Istanbul will mean a 2 hour layover, but you can save €200 per person flying this way – and it is available over the May bank holiday weekend!
I found a superb deal staying in the Jannah Palace at Dubai Marina in May – this is perfectly situated to explore all of Dubai’s top attractions. Price including flights and a five night stay is only €569 per person.
You can choose to fly direct to Abu Dhabi ( 70 minute transfer ) at a cost of €759 per person, or with Emirates to Dubai for €889 per person, both include hotel accommodation for five nights. Select Alternative Flights via the link below for these options.

Best Cruise: October Bank Holiday Bahamas Fly Cruise €1499!
Enjoy a two-night stay in Miami followed by a five-night cruise visiting three different destinations in the Bahamas on Norwegian Getaway.
