25 Top Things To Do in Dubai – Great Attractions for Adults and Families

From Beach Clubs to the Burj Khalifa, Safaris to Skiing, I’ve got 25 top things to do in Dubai for adult or family getaways.

Renowned for its breathtaking skyline, high-end shopping, and world famous attractions, Dubai is the Middle East destination that never disappoints. From immersive experiences to iconic landmarks, stunning beaches to hidden gems, there are many top things to do in Dubai. Plus, with daily direct flights from Dublin, getting there has never been more accessible.

The holiday options are endless in Dubai, whether you fancy a weekend break, a family holiday escape, or a stopover on route to other destinations. Both Kaitlin and I have visited Dubai twice, so we have put together a list of 25 top things to do in Dubai to help you make the most of your visit. If you are looking for hotel recommendations, check out our top picks here:

1. Go to the top of the Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is one of Dubai’s top attractions! Visit the world’s tallest building and the highest outdoor observation deck for insane views of the city.

There are two types of tickets. The main difference between the two is that you get to the 148th floor rather than the 124th, there are less queues and crowds, and you get some nice pastries. You can judge for yourself if you think it’s worth paying the extra, but either way make sure you go see it.

Top Tip: Make sure you book online before hand as queues can be long in peak season.

2. Check out the Dubai Mall

dubai mall

Regardless of whether you like shopping, make sure you add the Dubai Mall to your to do list! The Dubai Mall is the largest shopping mall in the world, however, there is much more to this Mall than shopping! There is an ice rink, aquarium and theme parks inside. Some of the 1,200 stores include Bloomingdales, Hamleys and even Marks and Spencer.

Of course there are plenty of designer shops and high street stores too – you name it it’s here. And when you are shopped out, relax in one of the many restaurants nearby, and watch the incredible Dubai fountain show.

3. Bring the kids to LEGOLAND Dubai

family holiday in Dubai

Legoland is a great destination for the whole family, just a 30 minute drive from central Dubai, making it an ideal family day trip. There’s an amusement park and the LEGOLAND Water Park here, so you can choose to visit both if the weather suits.

Legoland offers a fun, adventurous and educational experience in an immersive setting, making it one of the top things to do in Dubai with kids.
