The Travel Expert’s Best Travel Deals – 15th April 2025
I’ve searched the web so you don’t have to! My best travel deals from Ireland include last minute holidays, short breaks, amazing summer holidays, and super staycations.
This week’s best travel deals are calling! Snap up a last-minute trip to Croatia, soak up the sun in Rhodes, spend summer in Malta, jet off to Thailand this September, treat the family to a waterpark hotel in Cyprus, escape to Madeira for a short break, or enjoy the October mid-term in Galway!
Best Last Minute: Short break in Dubrovnik from €307pp!
The medieval city of Dubrovnik should be on everyone’s bucket list. It is so well preserved and looks like something straight out of a fairytale. Walk around the city walls, take the cable car to Srd Hill and then catch the sunset from one of the many cliff bars.
Price for flights and a four-night stay in the highly rated 4-star Hotel Lapad with breakfast included, departing the 27th of April is only €407 per person flying from Dublin. You can stay in a 4-star apartment for €307 per person including flights, on the same date. Alternatively, stay in the quieter Cavtat area in the 5-star Croatia Hotel for €479 per person on the 30th of April including breakfast.

Best Overnight Escape: 4 Star Sheraton Athlone, €85 Per Room
Located in the heart of Athlone, the highly rated Sheraton Hotel ticks all boxes for an overnight escape. It has a 20 metre pool, a luxury spa, and stylish dining options and is rated the top place to stay in Athlone on TripAdvisor.
Enjoy an overnight getaway on many May dates for just €85 per room, only €42.50 per person.
Best May Deal: 4 Star Rhodes All Inclusive, €766pp
Kick off your summer with a great value all inclusive trip to the Greek island of Rhodes! TripAdvisor reviewers rave about this beachfront hotel, and it’s easy to see why. It offers 6 pools with activities like aqua aerobics and Zumba, plus dining options that include 2 pool bars and a beachfront taverna.
The location is a winner too, just a short walk to the beach, 15 minutes to the Baths of Kalithea, and a 10 minute drive to the stunning Rhodes Town. If your looking for a night out the resort of Faliraki is close by where you’ll find up lively bars and clubs.

Price for a seven-night stay on the 14th or 17th of May, including flights from Dublin, transfers, baggage, meals and drinks is €766 per person staying at the 4 star Kalithea Horizon Royal Hotel.

Best Family Holiday: Cyprus All Inclusive Waterpark Hotel 2ad & 2ch: €3734
Treat the family to a break at the Tofinis Hotel in Cyprus, where you will have full access to the waterpark onsite and an all inclusive arrangement for all the family. You are a short 1.5km away from the centre of Ayia Napa with it’s shops, bars and restaurants and 300 meters to the nearest beach.
Price for a family of four for seven-nights including flights, transfers, checked baggage and all food and drinks flying from Dublin Airport is €3734 including a free child place on the 30th of July or 13th of August. Dates and durations can be changed via the link below to suit you.

Best Family Staycation: October Mid Term in Delphi Resort, Galway

I found return flights from Dublin to Madeira for just €121, departing on the 7th of July. A four-night stay at the King David Suites is €261 per person.
Alternatively, you can travel on the 30th of June and enjoy a four-night stay at the 5-star The Vine Hotel for €579 per person, including flights and breakfast. Travel from Shannon on 9th of July for €629 per person.
