If you have been following me for a while you will know that Alvor is one of my favourite resorts on the Algarve. It has stunning beaches, great value restaurants, but also has a charming old town and a pretty harbour.
I have stayed at the Prainha Village on many occasions and love its beachfront setting. There is no shortage of amenities to keep families occupied, with outdoor pools, playgrounds, bars, restaurants and tennis courts. These are all surrounded by fabulous, landscaped gardens ensuring it never feels busy or crowded.

2. Majorca: 4*+ Bonaire, 7 Nights, 2ad & 2ch, from €2006

The Bonaire are one of the most popular family apartments in Majorca. We spent a week there when my children were younger and the kids loved it. It is located just a few minutes from the beach and the centre of Cala Bona, where there is an ample choice of restaurants and bars. If you want to venture further afield, the larger resort of Cala Millor is about a 30-minute walk.
You don’t need to venture outside the resort though as the family facilities on-site are excellent. There is a children’s splash park with a giant pirate ship and there is day and night time entertainment, including a mini-disco in the evening, as well as kids clubs and a multi-sports court.

We spent a fabulous week in Fuerteventura over Easter holidays last year and loved it stunning beaches and laid back atmosphere. Treat yourself and the kids to a short break in Ibiza staying at the iconic Hard Rock Hotel! I found return flights for just €86 over Easter holidays, and flights are daily so you can choose to stay for longer, or shorter, if you wish.
This landmark hotel is located right on the beach in lively Playa d’en Bossa, although I would expect Easter time shouldn’t be too busy. Surprisingly, it it top rated for families as well as adults, as it has a choice of pools, six restaurants, a private beach club and lots of chill out areas.
It is a haven for teens, with a separate venue and entertainment programme for them, plus its only 10 minutes drive from the airport and the stunning old town of Ibiza, making it an ideal choice for a luxury short break. There are many room types to choose from but I have based this on stayaing in a Silver Suite with breakfast included.
