Scratch one off the bucket list and enjoy a short break in Santorini holiday this Summer.

Santorini was on my bucket list for many years, and I finally got around to visiting last Summer! The picture postcard villages of Oia and Fira may be the top attractions but there is much more explore. Let this Santorini holiday take you there – I’ve got a choice of accommodation options to suit all budgets and styles.

The island is quite small, so if you choose to stay on the beach side, you will never be longer than 30 minutes bus ride from the stunning villages of Oia, Imerovigli and Fira. The beach resorts have plenty of restaurants and bars and accommodation here offers better value for money.

I often see luxury hotels and Airbnbs in Santorini with private pools being advertised, but it is also possible to book a Santorini holiday on a budget – there are plenty of three star hotel options to choose from away from the crowded towns of Oia and Fira.

I found flights with Aer Lingus from Dublin airport, departing on the 17th of May for €242 per person including 10kg checked baggage. A seven night stay in the top rated Stelios Place apartments in Perisa is only €196 per person, or choose the popular Ira apartments in Kamari for only €290 per person.

The popular Acqua Vatos Santorini Hotel is also in the lively resort of Kamari, close to its famous Black Beach. It boasts a large pool with snack bar, a chill-out lounge bar for evening drinks, and contemporary decor throughout. Price for a seven night stay is €270 per person including breakfast.
