The Travel Expert’s Best Travel Deals – 24th September 2024
I’ve searched the web so you don’t have to! My best travel deals from Ireland include last minute holidays, short breaks, early booking offers, and super staycations.
This week’s best travel deals post is a bumper one! I have last minute breaks to Zakynthos and Lake Garda, winter and summer deals to the Caribbean, a cruise on MSC World Europa, a bargain city break in Amsterdam, a family ski trip, early booking offers for next summer and super staycations in Dublin and Cork.
Best last minute: 4 Star week in Zakynthos, €310!
Enjoy luxury for less in Zakynthos in October. I found return flights for just €138 on the 18th of October! And a seven-night stay at the top-rated Agave Boutique Hotel is just €172 per person.
If you fancy some five star treatment, a grand suite at the stunning Adults Only Meandros Boutique & Spa Hotel is only €458 with breakfast and evening meal included. You can also upgrade to a room with a private pool from €554 per person.

Enjoy a long weekend in Lake Garda next month. I found return flights for €100 on Friday the 18th of October from Dublin, or if you want to stay for seven nights you can get flights for €34 on the 15th of October! And, If you bring my recommended Ryanair cabin bag, you won’t even need to pay for checked baggage!
The 4 Star Hotel Gotì is excellent value at just €234 per person for a four night stay including breakfast. Check out the Excellent reviews on TripAdvisor.
Flights are also available to Milan Bergamo from €49 return from Cork, or €83 return from Knock with Ryanair. Top Tip: If flying into Milan Bergamo choose hotels on the west or south side of Lake Garda as the transfer time is shorter. Can you believe you can fly from Dublin to Barbados for just €305 in November? I found flights with Aer Lingus via Manchester on the 12th of November for that price, but airfares on this route are low throughout the winter months.

If you have always wanted to bring the kids skiing, now is your chance! I found a super all inclusive deal to one of Austria’s prettiest resorts – Zell am See. There is a Kindergarten for children aged 2 and above, as well as a Mini Club with ski tuition for children aged 3 – 4 years – it is a great resort for families.
The newly renovated 4 star Hotel Der Waldhof has a host of family facilities and also has suites that can sleep up to 6! Beat the January blues with a two-night break in Amsterdam for just €179! I found return flights with Aer Lingus from Dublin for €80 including a 10kg checked bag!
Flights depart Sunday morning the 26th of January and return on Tuesday night which gives you three full days to explore this great city. Flights from Cork with Aer Lingus are €83 on the same dates, but flight returns in the morning.
