Best Last Minute: A week in Cascais, €869
If you are looking for summer holiday without extreme temperatures, then Cascais in Portugal is hard to beat. Once the resort of choice of the royal family, this upmarket resort has a gorgeous old town with a modern marina, great restaurants and chic boutiques.
Price for Aer Lingus flights, 10kg checked baggage and a seven-night stay in the popular Pestana Cascais Ocean Hotel with breakfast, is €869 per person on the 29th of July.

Best Overnight Escape: 4* Hodson Bay Hotel €64pp
Take advantage of the heatwave and make a break for Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands this weekend! I found a super deal staying in the top-rated Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone. Located on the shores of Lough Ree, this is a great location to explore Ireland’s lakelands. It also has an extensive leisure and spa and is just five minutes drive from Athlone town centre.
Price for an overnight escape this Sunday is €64 per person, or stay two nights for €119 per person.
Best Family Holiday: Menorca 31st July, 2ad & 2ch, €2882
If you are looking for a last minute family holiday, without high rise buildings and honky tonk bars, then Menorca should do the trick. The Talayot Apartments offer good value with a choice of swimming pools, a TUI kids’ club, an on-site restaurant and bar.
Price for a seven-night holiday for 2 adults and 2 children and €2882 in July including flights, transfers and checked baggage.
Best Family Staycation: Wild Atlantic Way Glamping in July
Escape to the Wild Atlantic Way next week and take full advantage of our warm temperatures and those gorgeous sunsets! I found availability in the top-rated Castledarcy Glamping pods in Lahinch, which come fully equipped with a king and two single beds, kitchen, en-suite bathroom, and WiFi.
Price for a two night stay from the 14th of July is €420 for a family of four.

Best Short Break: 4 Night All Inclusive in Marrakesh, €448pp
Explore magical Marrakesh while staying in a top-rated all-inclusive resort in the heart of the city. Best Winter Break: A week in Malta from €299pp
I found amazing value for winter breaks in Malta staying at the top-rated Solana Hotel. There is a small rooftop swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa, as well as a bar, restaurant and occasional entertainment. This is the perfect pre-Christmas break.
Price for flights and a seven-night stay is only €298 on the 24th of November from Dublin. Many more dates are available.
