Planning on a summer staycation this summer? I have some great family hotel deals in Ireland for two-night stays in August. I have highly rated hotels as well as self catering options, so there should be something here to suit all tastes and budgets.

I have selected random dates below, so you have specific dates in mind, or need change the duration of your stay, simply edit the search dates to suit your requirements.

1. Clayton Sligo Hotel – 2 Bedroom Family Room, €518

Set on beautiful grounds and close to Sligo Town centre, the 4-star Clayton Sligo ticks all boxes for a family holiday in Ireland. We stayed here recently and loved its family friendly facilities and spacious family rooms.  The leisure centre has a separate kids pool, and a kids club usually operates during school holidays.

Price for a two-night stay in a two-bedroom family room from 17th August is €518.

2. Belfast: Holiday Inn Belfast, Family Room: 2 Nights, €380

The Holiday Inn Belfast is located in the heart of Belfast and is a great value option for a family stay in Belfast. Belfast is brimming with family attractions including indoor skydiving at Vertigo. Ireland’s award-winning Science and Discovery Centre W5, and make sure you take a spin to Colin Glen Forest Park to enjoy their Gruffalo Trail, ziplines and alpine coaster.

We stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed the leisure club, choice of dining options and family friendly rooms. There is a range of things to do nearby such as visiting Curacloe Beach, the National Heritage Centre, and Wells House and Gardens.

4. Mayo: Helm Apartments, Westport, 2-bedroom Apt: 2 Nights, €523

If you have been following me for a while you will know I fell in love with Mayo’s stunning coastline a few years ago, and this two-bedroom apartment is ideally located to explore it.

Located right in the heart of Westport, The Helm overlooks the harbour and has a restaurant and bar, with complimentary breakfast included in your stay. This is great value for self-catering breaks in Ireland in one of the Wild Atlantic Way’s most vibrant towns.

5. Cork: Schull Harbour Hotel, 2 Bedroom Apartment, 2 Nights €588

6.  Meath: Johnstown Estate, 2 bedroom House: 2 Nights, €618

Johnstown Estate is the ideal choice if you want a luxury family break that is close to Dublin. Set within 120 acres of stunning parkland, this 1750’s Georgian residence has extensive leisure and spa facilities, golf and horse riding, as well as a choice of dining options. We enjoyed a fabulous break here last winter and loved its fabulous spa, and family friendly atmosphere.

The two-bedroom self-catering lodges are perfect for families who want to enjoy all the hotel’s facilities but enjoy the benefits of spacious self catering homes. Each lodge has a separate dining and relaxing area and a terrace that opens onto a green with a small children’s play area.

Price for a family stay in a two-bedroom house for two nights is €618 on the 20th of August.

7. Mayo: Breaffy House Hotel, Family Room for 5, B&B: 2 Nights, €412

9. Laois: Midlands Park Hotel, Family Room, 2 Nights, €363

We stayed here last year and loved its family friendly facilities and super service. There is a choice of dining options available, including Kelly’s Steakhouse which I can highly recommend.

Price for a family room is €363 for two nights on various dates in August.

10. Dublin: Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, Family Room, €480

Enjoy a staycation in the capital this summer with a super deal from the centrally located Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane. Pearse Street Train Station is a 10-minute walk away and Grafton Street and Temple Bar can be reached in 20 minutes. Complete with leisure centre, gym, bar and restaurant, this is a great choice for a family stay in Dublin.

Price for a two-night stay in a family room is €480 on the 19th of August.

11. Sligo: Ocean Sands Hotel, Family Room, €441

Located in the heart of Enniscrone, overlooking one of Ireland’s best beaches, this is a super choice for a staycation before the kids go back to school.
