I’ve got beach houses and country houses, some are located on hotel grounds, while others are set in their own private estates. I have chosen a variety of sizes too, from 4-bedroom luxury townhouses, to 11-bedroom mansions. Some houses even have their own pools, and one is located on its own private island!

1. Sunnybank House with private pool, Clifden, County Galway – 11 Bedrooms
Located in the heart of Connemara this 11-bedroomed country estate can sleep 16+ guests. It has an outdoor pool that is heated from late May – mid September, as well as a sauna and tennis court.
It is just 150 metres from the town square, where you will find a great selection of bars and restaurants. The nearby private leisure centre with indoor heated pool and gym is also available for use all year around.
It is one of the best Airbnb’s for large groups in Ireland, with loads of room to enjoy a night away with friends or extended family.
See more here2. Bunker Lodge, Doonbeg, Wild Atlantic Way, County Clare – 4 Bedrooms (Sleeps 10)
Bunker Lodge is a rare retreat along the Wild Atlantic Way. Just five minutes from the charming village of Doonbeg, and only fifteen minutes from Kilkee and Spanish Point, it offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. This peaceful beach house feels like a world away, yet Clare’s most loved attractions are all within easy reach. We stayed here recently and absolutely loved it – it’s exactly the kind of house I’d dream of owning if I had the chance.
The Beach House is actually two buildings united by an L shaped sunroom. My kids felt like they had a house to themselves by staying in one side, which has a separate Den with an enormous TV, Playstations, VR, and a bedroom with bunkbeds plus a separate shower room.
The highlight, however, is the first-floor living room, beautifully styled with coastal décor and opening through double doors onto a balcony. From here, you can soak up views of the surrounding countryside and the Atlantic Ocean. White Strand Beach, ideal for swimming, is just a few minutes away by car, while the stunning Doughmore Beach and Doonbeg Golf Course can be reached in around five minutes. This house is pet-friendly too!

I had the pleasure of staying in Kenmare House recently, and I’m convinced it must be one of the best large houses to rent in Ireland.
It is located on private land beside the Castlerosse Park Resort and Killarney National Park, and boasts stunning views over the Killarney Lakes and Macgillycuddy’s Reeks Mountains.
I loved the decor and private gardens and there is even a chapel on site which would be perfect for intimate weddings, or for couples looking to renew their vows. The two downstairs bedrooms are ideal for elderly or infirm, and Killarney town centre is easily reached via the 2km pedestrian walkway or by taxi.

West Cork is one of my favourite parts of Ireland and The Boat House location is idyllic. This four-bedroomed house is one of ten properties on an island estate, reached by a stone bridge.
It is also located close to Baltimore and Skibbereen, so if you fancy a change of scene, you don’t have too far to go. You will also have access to an indoor heated swimming pool during your stay.

This modern six-bedroomed Dingle home is ideal for a large gathering in one of Ireland’s most loved towns. It is just a two-minute drive to the centre of Dingle town and has a large private garden with two patios.
Make sure you experience the Slea Head Drive or take a boat out to the Skellig Islands – there is so much to do on the Dingle Peninsula.

Pier Cottage is a beautifully restored 18th century stone cottage which has two self-contained units. The ‘West End’, sleeps up to 7 in 3 bedrooms, while the ‘East End’ sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms.
The spacious cottage, sleeps up to 11 so it is ideal for a large family rental in Ireland. Located just off the famous Ring of Kerry, and just 50 metres from its own shingle beach, its location is idyllic.

Are you a Karaoke fan? Fiddlers Cottage in Fermanagh is the perfect party house! It is ideal for hen weekends or for stag parties or for avid musicians, as there is a purpose built bar, Karaoke room and stage where you can act out your inner fantasies!

This magnificent period house is located right at the harbour and offers panoramic views from three separate balconies. It can sleep up to 17 which makes a one of the most popular Airbnbs in Ireland for groups.
Located on the beautiful Hook Peninsula, you will find plenty of shops and restaurants close by as well as some superb beaches – I’m told there are 14 different beaches nearby!
The extensive gardens have a patio with BBQ area and there is a games room with a full-size table tennis, 6ft pool table, and a cross trainer. There are also fishing nets, boules and buckets and spades for kids on site.

This spacious 4-bedroom golf lodge in Mount Juliet Estate is a great find. I am a big fan of Mount Juliet Estate and to be able to avail of the facilities there is a huge bonus.
The house is very well equipped and modernly furnished with 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a terrace with garden views, but the pièce de résistance – you have access to the hotel’s swimming pool.
I stayed in a similar lodge recently for a family wedding and it was perfect – it is also a great choice for Ireland golf tours.

Ethan House Killarney is one of the best large group accommodation in Ireland, as it offers four self-contained suites on a two-acre site. It allows friends or extended families to holiday together, with the benefits of having privacy in their own home.
If all houses are rented together, they can sleep up to 21 guests, however if you only wish to rent three of the houses, contact the host for individual prices. It is located just 4km from Killarney town centre, and close to all of its top attractions.

The Cliff Beach House has to be one of the best beach houses in Ireland. I had the privilege of staying here recently and was blown away by the design, decor and location. There are two sides to the house and both have three bedrooms – you can rent one half, or rent the whole house, which has six bedrooms.
Every room offers floor-to-ceiling views of the Atlantic, and the little luxuries are next level: a baby grand piano, outdoor hot tub, cinema room, freestanding bath with a fireplace, and with full access to the 5 Star Cliff House Hotel’s facilities, It is the ultimate luxury coastal escape – just minutes from Ardmore Village and beach.

If you are looking for large Airbnbs in Ireland for groups, look no further than The Lime House eco lodge – it can sleep up to 22 people.
There are six ensuite bedrooms, as well as a wood-fired hot tub*, pizza oven and BBQ area beside the house. There is also a natural swimming pool about 300 metres away, which can be used all year round, but warmest from May to September.

Luí na Gréine (Sunset) is a three-bedroom cottage that is attached to a two-bedroom cottage Eirí na Gréine (Sunrise). You only have to look at the image of Inch House to know that it is something special. A Georgian Country Mansion dating from 1720, if you fancy a family get together in true Downtown Abbey style – then look no further. It was a guest house and restaurant for 25 years before being transformed back into a stately home in 2018.
You will have exclusive use of the six-bedroom house which can accommodate up to 19 people, and the proprietors own home is behind the main house, which can house a further six people if required, at an additional cost.
The Library Bar can be stocked to your own taste, including draft Guinness! There is also a unique little chapel and extensive gardens to explore. A private chef can also be arranged if you would rather not cook during your stay.
