With the ski season in Austria in full swing and reports of the best snow conditions in years, now is the perfect time to book one of our fantastic ski deals in Söll. I have been fortunate to ski in Söll on two occasions. After a fantastic adult break in 2020, I immediately rebooked to return with my family the following year, which says everything about how much I enjoyed it, and why I am delighted to work with the Soll to promote their super ski deals and share my top reasons to visit.
1. Söll is part of Austria’s largest interconnected ski areas.

Söll forms part of the famous SkiWelt, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Austria. It links four main towns, Söll, Ellmau, Scheffau and Going, along with five picturesque villages. Together, they offer an impressive 275 kilometres of piste and 81 lifts, all accessible with a single lift pass. Soll is also home to Austria’s largest night skiing area, allowing you to ski after dark and enjoy dinner on the mountain afterwards!
However, its not just advanced skiers that are catered for, there are slopes for beginners and intermediate skiers too, along with top ski schools to help you learn to ski or develop your skills.
2. Soll is easily accessible from many airports.
Söll is ideally located between the airports of Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich, making ski holidays in Soll easily accessible from Ireland, for week-long trips and short breaks.
Munich is just 90 minutes away, and with over 30 flights per week from Ireland with Aer Lingus, it is one of the most convenient routes to take. There are also flights to Salzburg, approximately 90 minutes away, and Innsbruck, just 60 minutes away, with packages available through ski tour operators such as Topflight, DirectSki and Crystal.
3. Soll offers great value for money.

I found skiing in Söll to be much more affordable than skiing in France. Lift passes, meals and drinks all offered better value, and there are fantastic accommodation deals available on the Wilder Kaiser website. 6. Soll has amazing Après Ski

Soll has a reputation for having lively après-ski, and after two trips there, I can wholeheartedly agree! There is live music from about 4pm every day in many of the bars. Expect to hear plenty of U2 classics as well as the latest chart toppers!
You can choose to let loose and stay out all night, or do what many people do, enjoy a few hours of après-ski before dinner and then have an early night.
Of course if you are a night owl, there is plenty to keep you entertained in Soll. Whisky Mühle was my favourite hangout. The atmosphere was electric with three live bands playing in different parts of the venue. The Moonlight bar is a great choice in the afternoon too as it is located at the bottom of the ski slopes and has a DJ from 3pm.
7. Söll has a St Patrick’s Festival with ski deals from €370pp!

Every year Soll celebrates St Patrick’s week with live music, events and a legendary ski parade on St Patrick’s Day. Söll’s famous winter witches appear under green smoke, and even the gondolas glow green! My first visit to Soll was during Patrick’s week – it is a super time to visit if you like lively après ski and want to hear some great Irish bands.
Aer Lingus Flights + 4 Nights Apartment Rabl from €370pp
I found return flights with Aer Lingus to Munich for €150 on the 14th of March, and you can book shared or private transfers with Four Seasons directly from Munich airport. A four-night stay at the centrally located Apartment Rabl is only €220 per person! If you prefer to opt for a hotel, the top-rated Eggerwirt Hotel, with breakfast and evening meal included is €494 per person.
Both of these deals are based on two-sharing, if you get a few friends together, the prices will be even less! Dates and durations can be changed to suit you via the links below:
8. Soll is packed with activities for non-skiers
If you fancy a day off the slopes, or happen to have a non skier in your party, you won’t be left wanting in Söll. Snowshoe hiking is becoming more and more popular and if you happen to get clear skies, like I did, paragliding is another super choice. Paragliding off Hohe Solve mountain, 1800 meters above sea level, was an experience I will never forget and one I can highly recommend.

Another option is tobogganing. I tried this on both trips and loved it, and my kids did too! There are two different toboggan runs in Soll, and each one takes about a half hour to complete. This is something that a whole family or group of friends can enjoy together, day or night!
9. Soll has super facilities for families too!

As well as tobogganing, Children can meet husky dogs and enjoy a short husky ride from the nearby village of Seefeld. This is a wonderful family friendly activity – I loved meeting Blue Eyes below!
New for the 2025 / 2026 ski season is the Hexenwiese beginners and family area at the Valley Station in Soll. There is a new Magic Carpet for beginners, a ‘Bewitched Lock’ for kids and a tubing slide. There are fun parks and plenty of family friendly hotels and restaurants too.
The kids-club / kindergarten teaches kids from age two how to ski in a secured snow park. With fun snow bunnies to hold on to, they will be skiing better than you in no time! Check out the family ski holiday weeks where children under 15 can get a free lift pass. See more here.
10. Soll has a great food scene.

Soll’s pretty village, complete with an 8th century Tyrolean church, is a pleasure to walk around, and you will find a wide selection of dining options to choose from – in fact there are over 80 restaurants in Soll.
Some of my favourites were Bellavita and Feldwebel in the centre of town. Alpengasthof Hochsöll on the mountain. Try the local dish of Gröstl, a combination of meat and potatoes with an egg on top, served with homemade coleslaw – it is the perfect dish after a morning on the slopes!

You can also choose to dine on the mountain in the evening time. With night-skiing available from Thursday – Sunday, it is a great opportunity to ski to dinner!
