In March, Malta experiences mild spring weather, making it a great time to visit. Average temperatures range from 10°C in the evenings to around 16°C during the day. While the weather can still be a bit cool, particularly in the evenings, it’s usually pleasant enough for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

Short Breaks to Malta staying in St Pauls Bay
The amazing price of €159 per person is based on flights from Dublin on the 7th of March for 3 nights in the lovely 3 star Mayflower Hotel in St Pauls Bay. I stayed at this hotel during a recent visit and really enjoyed my stay.

The Mayflower Hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the bars and restaurants of St Paul’s Bay. There is also a bus station around the corner if you wish to explore more of the island. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooftop pool has the most epic views over the bay, and the day club, Café del Mar is a short walk away.

Short Breaks to Malta staying in Mellieha
If you fancy a beach stay in Malta, look no further than Mellieha – this boasts the largest sandy beach in Malta. The 4 star Solana Hotel & Spa located here and is also superb value. There is a range of restaurants on site and live entertainment takes place in the evenings. The hotel also features an indoor pool with hydromassage and a gym.

Luxury Short Breaks to Valletta
Fancy a city break with a difference? Stay in the capital of Malta, Valletta, and explore the renowned UNESCO World Heritage site. I found return flights for a long weekend for €91 on the 5th of March. Price for a four-night weekend stay including flights is just €357 per person.

I have chosen the fabulous 5 star Grand Hotel Excelsior which boasts two bars, two swimming pools, and three top notch restaurants. The vibrant heart of Valletta is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel, giving you easy access to the city’s fascinating history and landmarks.
