Weekend in Sardinia, Flights & 4 Star Hotel from €249!
Kickstart your summer with a short break in Sardinia in May! This super deal includes flights and a top-rated hotel for three nights.
With a direct three hour flight from Dublin and a 20 minute airport transfer, this short break in Sardinia can have you enjoying nice Italian food with a cocktail in hand, in no time!
You will fly directly into Alghero, where the medieval town is beautifully preserved, with cobbled stone streets, trendy boutiques and a great food scene. There is also a white sandy beach in Alghero, which is not something that many Italian resorts can boast about.
If you like designer shopping then take a day trip to the Costa Smeralda, if only to window shop and see how the other half live! You might spot some celebrities while you are there, this is a very popular hang out for the rich and famous.
If that doesn’t float your boat, take a trip to the neighbouring French island of Corsica and marvel at the stunning scenery – it is well worth a visit. Fly direct to Alghero on Saturday the 9th of May for just €116 from Cork or €149 return from Dublin. And, if you bring my recommended Ryanair cabin bag, you won’t even need to pay for checked baggage!
The Calabona enjoys a seafront location with a pool and private beach, and just 15 minutes walk to Alghero’s historic centre – priced at €132 per person for a three night stay or €310 per person for a seven night stay.
You can also choose a package including flights and hotel, and a deposit of €19 will secure a booking. The total price for a three-night stay in the Calabona Hotel is just €245 per person including flights from Cork and €278 from Dublin, departing the 9th of May. Simply edit the departure airport to suit you.
The Alma di Alghero is a top-rated hotel that is also located beside the sea, although a little further from the town centre – priced at €178 for a three-night stay.
If you want a luxury weekend break then look no further than the 5 Star Villa Las Tronas Hotel & SPA. Formerly a royal retreat this is arguably the best hotel in Alghero. Price for a three-night stay including breakfast is €525 per person.
