weekend in Rome - the travel expert visit the Colosseum

Rome City Break : Flights & 4 Star Hotel from €226pp!

A city break to Rome is a great idea at any time of year. No matter how many times you visit you can’t help but marvel at its beauty.

You would want to be made of stone if Rome did not impress you. There are ancient wonders at every corner – The Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, I could go on and on. You could spend a week here and not see everything, but this Rome city break should allow you to see some of the highlights and soak up the atmosphere of this great city.

Rome is a walkable city and many of the top attractions are close together, however, it is important that you pre-book entrance tickets to the top attractions in advance. I also recommend pre booking a city tour on your first day to get your bearings – the Vespa tour or golf cart tour are just some of my favourites.

Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly twice daily on most days from Dublin airport, and there is a twice weekly flight from Cork airport with Ryanair.

I found return flights from Dublin for €106pp departing early morning the 4th of March and returning in the evening of the 6th of March, will should give you three days to explore this great city.

A stay at the 4-star Hotel Best Western Art Deco is only €120 per person – so you can enjoy a Rome city break for just €226 per person!

There are many other hotel choices to choose from. The popular Condotti Boutique Hotel is only €188f per person for a two-night stay, or the 5-star Radisson Collection Hotel is €310 per person. Check out some of my recommendations on where to stay in Rome here:
