Weekend Holiday to Nice – Flights and 4 Star Hotel from €248pp

Holiday to Nice next spring? Yes please! Soak up the sights on the French Riviera with this amazing holiday deal to Nice, France.

I’ve just returned from a 48 hour holiday to Nice on the French Riviera, which proved to be the perfect base for exploring the region’s gorgeous coastal towns by train. Spring is a wonderful time to visit, as it falls in the shoulder season, allowing you to enjoy the city without the summer crowds and blazing heat.

April in Nice brings mild, sunny weather with average temperatures around 16 to 18 degrees. The days are longer, perfect for leisurely strolls along the Promenade des Anglais, café hopping in the Old Town, or wandering through the Cours Saleya market, full of flowers and local produce. You may catch an occasional light shower, but most days are usually bright and pleasant, ideal for exploring the city as it bursts into spring bloom.

Nice is also a fantastic base for day trips. Just 20 minutes by train will take you to Monte Carlo in Monaco home of the famous casino and Formula One track. Take a stroll along the harbour dotted with luxury yachts, or explore the old town. Back in Nice, don’t miss Castle Hill, offering panoramic views over the city and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea below.

Getting around couldn’t be easier with buses, trams and trains taking you everywhere you want to go. My top tip would be to buy the 48 hour travel pass which you can buy outside the airport for €37, and you can hop on and off all transport links as you please.
