The Travel Expert’s Best Travel Deals – 11th January 2024

I’ve searched the web so you don’t have to! My best travel deals from Ireland include last minute holidays, short breaks, early booking offers, cruise deals, and super staycations.

This week’s Best Travel Deals from Ireland include winter holidays in Fuerteventura, short breaks in Sardinia and Ibiza, Summer holidays in Santorini, Crete and the Costa del Sol, an amazing cruise, a trip of a lifetime to Bali and super staycations.

Best Last Minute: Fuerteventura

Beat the January blues by jetting off to sunny Fuerteventura where the temperatures are a balmy 25 degrees! I spent Easter in Fuerteventura last year and loved its white sandy beaches and laid back resorts. 

I found return flights with Aer Lingus, including 10kg checked baggage, for just €122 on the 23rd of January and €115 on the 27th of February – but you better act fast, the Aer Lingus sale finishes next Monday!

A seven-night stay in the popular Surfing Colors apartments is available from €329 per person, or go All Inclusive in the Riu Olivia Beach Resort ( the same beach where the above photo was taken ), from €416 per person, with meals and drinks included.

Best Short Break: Sardinia

Kickstart your Summer with a short break in Sardinia. I found return flights to Alghero from €95 in late April and €109 in May.

Best Summer Sun: Santorini

Enjoy Summer in Santorini this year! I found return flights for €204 on the 12th of August and a seven night stay in the popular Ira apartments is only €433 per person. There are only 4 rooms left at this price so so, you better act fast!

Best Luxury summer sun: Crete

I had the pleasure of holidaying in Chania a few years ago and loved it, so when I found this deal to the 5-Star Cretan Dream Royal Hotel, I was tempted to book it myself! It is one of the top hotels in the area and perfect for couples or friends looking for a luxury stay with plenty of things to do nearby.

Best Family Holiday: Costa del Sol

For families looking for a great value All Inclusive holiday, then the Cortijo Blanco on Spain’s Costa del Sol is hard to beat.

Best Early Booking Offer: Ibiza

Get a few friends together and book a short break in Ibiza this year! I found return flights in October for just €99, and a three-night stay in the top-rated 4-Star Typic Marina Playa Hotel is only €140 per person!

This adult-only beachfront hotel is located close to San Antonio, so you can choose to dance the night away if you wish, or simply relax and enjoy its stunning sea views.
